Counselling Support Leicester

My training, a degree in Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapy, means that I can offer a flexible approach and personalised experience of connectedness, I believe that growth is achieved from the inside and I hope to be able to hold your hand through your journey of self-discovery.

It is my belief that the relationship is the key to change. By working within a relational approach, the trust we build, puts bespoke exploration of your needs at the centre of our work. Through healing, we are able to enter into a healthy relationship with ourselves and others.

The Benefits To You

I can help you to decide on your best way forward in dealing with your problems. In many cases, just being able to “unload” is highly beneficial. Once you feel the weight has been lifted off your shoulders, you are much more able to focus on the other things that matter in your life. Many of my clients tell me how reassured they feel after just talking with me and I can help you find a different perspective, a different way of looking at things.

● Feel safe and secure in your environment
● Help you understand your anxiety and where that comes from.
● Talk about the cause of your issues
● Build a trusting true relationship with me
● Support from me as long as it is required
● A chance to “unload” all of your worries
● An opportunity to discuss these worries at your own pace
● Work together to find your freedom

How Will Counselling Help Me?

Counselling is a talking therapy, where I listen to you and then offer support to help you through whatever problems you might be experiencing. It is a space where you can open up, speak your mind freely and talk through things that you might find difficult to discuss with others.

Talk To Me

You are different from everyone else, and everyone else is different from you. That’s why we all have our own point of view and why we do things our own way. It’s perfectly normal to be different. All types of mental issues, whether they are psychological, emotional, conceptual or spiritual, have begun somewhere.

Contact me and take the next step. We will start with a short consultation and then you can decide whether counselling is going to be right for you.

Anxiety Counselling

Anxiety is a normal and often healthy emotion. However, sometimes it can become permanent feature in your life. We can work together to unlock and treat the cause.

Counselling

Counselling is sometimes needed to understand and openly talk about your worries. Talking about the issues you are trying to overcome will improve your situation.

Grief & Loss Counselling

Grief & Loss is sometimes hard to understand. If you’re struggling with bereavement, grief and loss, I can help get you through these difficult times.

Relationship Counselling

Relationship Counselling is sometimes needed to understand and openly talk about yours, or your partners behaviour. I can help you  find a happy path again as a couple or individual.

Stress

Stress is usually a reaction to mental or emotional pressure in your life. I can help you understand the causes and importantly regain control of your life.

Trauma

Trauma can be a response to a deeply distressing or disturbing event that can overwhelm your ability to cope.  Trauma can also be relational and complex.

How Do I Work?

Currently, I do much of my work via zoom, however, I can offer face to face counselling providing you meet the risk assessment criteria. I have a private room which is conducive with social distancing.

I offer long term counselling which is regularly reviewed. This gives you the opportunity to work at your own pace and the chance for us to build a trusting relationship.

My sessions are 50 mins per week booked on a regular weekly basis and I charge £40 per session. A written contract will be discussed at our initial assessment which outlines privacy and confidentiality guidelines.

Our initial assessment is charged at £20 where we can meet and discuss what you would like to get out of therapy, and you can gain some insight into what it would be like to work with me.

Step 1:

Schedule your Consultation

The first step in making a positive change to your life is to contact me on 07791 199117 or send me an email enquiry via the contact form. The initial call is free of charge and if you feel confident and comfortable talking to me, then we progress on to the next stage of our plan together.

Step 2:

We discuss it and create a plan

If we make the right connection on initial contact, and we both feel confident I can help you, we can then move on to the initial paid assessment where our work together really begins.

Step 3:

We start therapy

After working out what your goals are, what you are trying to achieve and the way we will work towards those changes, we will begin the sessions. Without judgment, you can talk openly yet with full confidentiality about your worries. Together we’ll work on the plan we created.
